2014 Jason Dufner Golf Weekend Recap

Jun 22, 2014

Wow…what an amazing event. If you like golf or giving back, this was one for the ages!! Jason Dufner currently ranked in the top 20 of the world golf rankings took time out of his busy tour schedule to come and visit JEHH in Western Massachusetts and Southern Vermont. June 20th and 21st.

On Friday, June 20th Jason came to the Crumpin-Fox Club and joined 43 eager players which their chance to play against one for the best players in the world. The day started off with a fantastic 45-minute clinic on the range, where participants got to see Jason hit some shots and have a nice question and answer segment with a tour professional. Zeke’s Grill of the home club, showered all the guests with great pub food, and Lefty’s brewery of Greenfield, Ma was nice enough to keep everyone in the field hydrated with their award winning Golden Ale. Once the clinic was complete the media had a chance to chat with Jason and then it was on to the golf course. Playing a skins game against one of the best in the world was a great chance for the players in the field to measure there game up against a tour player.

Once play was conducted it was time to get into your fancy clothes for JEHH’s first Gala and Silent Auction. The night was amazing with wonderful food presented and served by the staff of Northfield Mount Hermon, our hosts for the evening. We had food from all over the world as well as one of the best silent auction line ups that you couldn’t find anywhere else.  Our guest speakers for the evening were past JEHH grants recipients, sharing what JEHH meant to them.  The guests of the gala were also treated with a surprise performance from Grammy nominated signer and songwriter Aaron Lewis. He stole the show and gave the 160 attendees a night they wouldn’t forget.

Saturday, June 21st was a JEHH event like we’ve done for years. 156 players made there way to The Mount Snow Golf Club in West Dover, VT for a day of scramble golf and a chance to meet and take their picture with Mr. Dufner. Jason was a great host signing hundreds of autographs and snapping tons of pictures with our guests. The 38 teams made their way around the picturesque Mount Snow Golf Club and headed under the tent for another great meal and silent auction.

JEHH put on three events in just under 48 hours. It was amazing and couldn’t have happened without all our sponsors, volunteers, and board members. But most importantly couldn’t have happened without the support of all the participants. We hope you all had a wonderful time, and if you couldn’t make it in 2014 we need to make sure you are on the attendee list for 2015.
